On Wednesday 12 of October, the Hon. Bronnie Taylor MLC presented a motion to the NSW Parliament recognising the School Nurses Association of NSW 17th Annual Conference and the important work of school nurses across the State. We thank the Hon Bronnie Taylor MLC for her passionate advocacy for School Nurses across this state and look forward to working with her to advance the cause well into the future!

    It’s disapointing that the NSW DET don’t recognise school nurses in the public system. There are 3 public boarding schools in NSW and only one of them has RNs 24/7. The DET won’t recognise them as RNs saying that someone with a first aid certificate can do the job. Frustrating and extremely disappointing.
